Hong Kong elderly experience major difficulties in understanding the information displayed on their medicine labels due to a few reasons – their limited literacy level and the user-unfriendly information design.
In this group project of four we held several stages of user testings with a dozen of local elderly in redesigning the current medicine into an elderly-friendly design. Through observations and interviews we also designed a medicine cabinet to accommodate and enhance local elderly's experience and efficiency with their daily medicine taking habits.
The design was selected to be featured in the 'Re-designing Medicine Administration for the Elderly' exhibition along with 5 other groups involved in the project in the past. I was one of the student organisers in the exhibition, which I was responsible for the editorial and organization of the exhibition.
